Simultaneous MODEM of optical signals - with one of two diodes being transparent for wavelength delivered or received by second diode

Signals are transmitted through an optical fibre transmission line to two transmitter or receiver diodes are superposd on each other so that looking in the propagation direction which in case of modulation, the second diode (2) is transparent for wavelengths delivered by the first diode (3), and in case of demodulation the first diode is transparent for wavelength to be received by the second diode. The first diode (3) has a flat metalised coating (16) on its rear side, and a metallised coating (15) on the upper side with a cut-out which matches a similar pattern on the other diode. The upper surface of the second diode (2) also has a cut-out in the metallising (13) to permit the passage of both wavelengths.
