<p>The tool for aerating the soil or sub-soil at depth comprises a spring-steel blade of which the base is a share offset to one side to cause lateral, and up and down, vibrations. Several blades may be mounted on a support frame with or without release provision. The blades are adapted to the soil resistance and the power of the tractor. The blades may be upright to inclined, and the blades and shares are bevelled. The tools aerate the soil sufficiently for the plant roots to become established, without causing drying out of the soil. In wet ground, drainage of excess water is effected, and clay is not brought to the surface.</p> |
