The tool is espec. useful for dealing with coarse fibre wall coverings which are coated with rubber. The tool has a handle (1) and head (12) which houses three parallel blades (13) mounted side by side and secured with a common bolt (30). The side (17) of the head (12) is inclined at an angle of about 25 deg. to the longitudinal axis of the handle (11). The end of the blade (13) is formed into a hook (16) terminating in a sharp point (18). The dimensions of the blade (13) are suc that when the side (17) of head (12) is pressed against the surface of the paper (20) the point (18) just penetrates the paper. Water to soften the adhesive can then be applied through the cuts.
