<p>Glass mirror foil, employs a multilayer structure consisting of a carrier foil; adhesive layer; a flexible glass foil; a reflection layer; and possibly a layer of adhesive. The pref. foil also includes a protective layer, the adhesive layer, and a protective foil. The carrier foil is pref. plastic or paper foil, whereas the glass foil is pref. below 1 mm. thick, esp. 0.1-0.5 mm. thick. The adhesive is pref. an elastic adhesive, but this layer may be replaced by a foil coated on both sides with an adhesive. The multilayer foil has a high flexibility so it can be used in numerous applications without breakage or damage.</p> |
