<p>1486704 Bleeding brake system E H OIKARINEN 7 Nov 1975 [8 Nov 1974] 46258/75 Heading F2F A device for bleeding hydraulic brake systems having a number of bleeding nipples 15 acting as valves includes a continuously acting vacuum pump connectable to at least one nipple by a duct, the connecting piece for connection of the duct to a nipple being so constructed as to act as a tool for turning the nipple to open or close the valve arrangement. The connecting piece has a valve body 1 with a spindle 4, in a central bore 3, pivotally journalled and provided with an end nipple 11 housing an elastic bushing 13 designed to fit over the nipple 15 and the inner walls being hexagonal to co-operate with the nipple 15 so that when a wheel 14 is rotated the nipple 15 is screwed or unscrewed. The pump has a mouthpiece 33 which is connected to a source of compressed air and an admission port nipple 27, an outlet 32 being connected to a collector tank so that the device functions as an ejector pump.</p> |
