<p>In order to seal galvanic primary elements at the ends in a liquid-tight manner and directly after the incorporation of electrode compound (9), without having to form any additional bordering of a cell sheath for this purpose, the present element has a plastic sealing element (5) into whose bottom the edge (7), with a surrounding rim, of the cell cup (1) engages. The rim of this edge is bent through 190 DEG and rests in a positively-locking and sealing manner over 100 DEG at the bottom on a flanged part (6) of the plastic sealing element (5).
