Fixing a trim bar to a roller blind casing - by bonding the former to the latter with plastics e.g. polyurethane foam

A trim bar is fixed to a roller blind casing by bonding the former to the latter with the aid of a plastic e.g. polyurethane foam. No fastening devices such as rivets or clamps or clips are needed. The process is not labour extensive, hence relatively inexpensive. The "U"-profiled trim bar is placed with its "open" side up. A thin strand of liq. plastics foam is introduced into the channel defined by the "U". The roller blind casing is pressed into the channel whereby the gaps between it and the edges of the casing are filled out by the foam which then adhesively bonds the components together.
