Continuous casting machine for nonferrous metals - with standard vertical crucible sealing connected to chill mould

Continuous casting machine for non-ferrous metals comprises a standard cylindrical vertical crucible with a side recess for connection to the chill mould into which leads an outlet bore which is connected to the inner chamber of the crucible. The metal is drawn off from the mould in wire, tube or sheet. form. Pref. the outlet bore extends obliquely upwards from the side recess to the inner chamber of the crucible. The whole appts. is pref. capable of tilting into an oblique position for drawing off liquid residual metal. The side recess is pref. a horizontal groove of which the bottom section forms a chord or a chord section, or it may have a circular shape with a horizontal plane. Good sealing is possible between crucible and mould.
