Fireproof lagging for water cooled furnace tubes - has prefabricated channel placed on tubes engaging with tube webs

Fireproof prefabricated thermal insulation component is used for transverse tubes of a water cooled tube system in suspended beam and similar industrial furnaces. The insulation encloses the transverse tubes. This lagging has no anchoring elements is readily fitted and ensures optimum insulation. The lagging has inverted U cross section with curved part (4a) with straight sides, and is placed on transverse tubes (1,2) from above. The inside diameter of curved part of lagging is slightly greater than that of transverse tubes. The curved lagging part has internal pads for contacting transverse tubes. Transverse channels within the lagging engages with transverse holding webs (3) of the tubes.
