An electromagnetic signal horn has an armature connected to a membrane and operating in conjunction with a static iron core bearing the exciter. A sensor (20) produces an impulse signal voltage when the armature or coil (14) makes contact with the iron core (15). The sensor (20) is coupled to the control input of a scanning circuit through a compensator. The scanning circuit locks or cuts off the interruptor when a sensor impulse is generated for a predetermined scan time.
