Synergistic pesticidal compsn. contains a pyrethroid chosen from bioresmethrine and fenoxythrine with an organophosphorus cpd. The organophosphorus cpd. is pref. fenitrothion (O,O-dimethyl-O-(3-methyl-4-nitrophenyl)-phosphorothioate), pirimiphosmethyl (O,O-dimethyl-O-(-2-diethylamino-6-methyl-pyrimdin-4-yl)-phosphor- othioate) or chlorpyrifos methyl (O,O-dimethyl-O-(3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl)-phosphorothioate). The compsn. pref. contains an antioxidant and may contain an other cpd. which potentiates the pyrethroid. Used partic. for protecting stored agricultural produce e.g. cereals against pests such as Rhizopertha dominica, Tribolium castaneum, Sitophilus granarius and Sitophilus oryzae. The compsns. protect the grain against the main insect parasites without reducing the quality of the grain, flour or bread and without imparting any odour.
