<p>1391883 Monoazo pigments CIBA-GEIGY AG 12 July 1973 [13 July 1972] 33168/73 Heading C4P [Also in Division C3] Novel pigments of Formula I where R 1 is halogen or C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy, R 2 is H, C 1-4 alkyl or phenyl, X is -NH- or -CH 2 O-, Y is O, S or NH and Z is O or NH are prepared by diazotization and coupling. The pigments of Formula I may be used to colour high molecular weight organic material in the form of plastic masses or melts, spinning solutions, paints or printing inks. The pigments may be boiled in an organic solvent before use in order to improve their properties. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,136,673.</p> |
