The support legs for stacking furniture units, comprise parallel inverted 'U' frames on each flank of the unit. One of the 'U' frames (8a, 10a) has a greater dimension than the other (8b, 10b), enabling continuous lines of units to be assembled by ledging the lateral leg frame (8a, 10a) of one unit on that (8b, 10b) of its neighbour. Both flank frames of the chair have lightly divergent legs enabling units to be folded vertically, thus the right hand 'U' frame of a chair would be larger than the left hand 'U' frame.
