Low power HF partly integrable PCM generator - uses push pull amplifier, two stage differential amplifier and separate time control

The regenerator has further a phase control loop. The pulse amplifier is a push-pull amplifier controlled by a timing signal. The amplitude control circuit has an emitter coupled two stage differential amplifier, whose first stage consists of a transistor push-pull circuit, and the second of a single transistor with earthed emitter. It has no coupling capacitors. A time control circuit is provided, with two flip-flop stages whose inputs are connected through coupling diodes to the outputs of the amplitude decision circuit. The amplitude control circuit output which delivers unipolar signals, is connected through a further coupling diode to a stage of timing signal recovery circuit for comparison with the timing signal generated.
