PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to adequately perform intermittent reception operation while reducing a signaling amount between a base station and user equipment.SOLUTION: User equipment UE comprises: a radio communication unit 110 which can operate in a continuous reception state in which it continuously receives downlink packets transmitted by a base station NB and in an intermittent reception state in which it intermittently receives downlink packets; a statistic value calculation unit 120 for calculating a value related to the frequency of downlink packets when the downlink packets have been received; and a parameter setting unit 130 which calculates, on the basis of the value λ related to the frequency, an intermittent reception parameter including at least one of a transition timer value Tw which is a required time from a time when a last downlink packet has been received in the continuous reception state to shifting to the intermittent reception state, and a reception cycle Tc which is a cycle when it performs reception of a downlink packet in the intermittent reception state, and which sets the parameter to the radio communication unit 110. |
