The valve comprises a housing with inlet (14) and outlet (12) for the product handled, and a plug movable inside the housing (10). This connects the inlet to the outlet, or shuts off the flow, being moved to and fro, and in the former condition the material flows through a passage in the plug. The outlet can fit onto the container filler spout (16), and a momentary current of fluid can be generated under pressure in the passage through the valve, and then in the outlet and the container when the valve moves into the shut position to push in the product.
