DYNAMIC TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE AND METHOD

A method for dynamically allocating software functions in a distributed and scalable hardware infrastructure of a mobile communication network (200). The method includes establishing (602) a connection between a remote entity (202, 280) and a central instance (214) of a network dedicated application; determining (604) that the central instance (214) of the network dedicated application is not optimal for the remote entity (202, 280); activating (606) a local instance (315) of the network dedicated application at another location in the mobile communication network (200); and instructing (608) the remote entity (202, 280) to use the local instance (315) instead of the central instance (214) of the network dedicated application.
