<p>The tow, produced e.g. from continuous polyester fibres, is inched through a cutter to ensure that the fibres are in excess of 152 mm in length, and further inched through a carder to give the required bulky base for the non-woven material. With a needle bank this is bonded by using 3-26 lines of stitching per 2.54 cm. of width.</p> |
