PURPOSE:To improve oxygen gas adsorbing property by adhering carbon powder having a specified adsorption peak strength on the surface. CONSTITUTION:Carbon, of which absorption peak strength at 3400-3500cm<-1> is larger than an absorption peak strength at 2880-2960cm<-1> in an infrared rays absorption spectrum of carbon, is adhered to the surface of a cathode plate. Namely, since carbon has fine electrochemical restoring property of oxygen and high water repellency, it shows excellent effect against oxygen gas absorption, and the mean internal pressure at the time of charge is more excellent than that of a conventional product and an improved conventional one. Oxygen gas absorption property can thereby be improved, and while a rise of the internal pressure of a battery container at the time of quick charge is restricted. |
