<p>PURPOSE:To make an electric dust collecting apparatus compact and maintain high dust collecting efficiency by coating both sides of a flat electrode of a dust collecting part, which is conductive and to which d.c. electric voltage is applied, with an insulating film and setting a wavy and conductive spacer in both sides of both end parts of a conductive plate of a duct collecting electrode and forming insulating parts in a narrow gap in both end parts of the dust collecting electrode. CONSTITUTION:When dust-containing air is sent, it flows in a charging part 3 through a dust-containing air inlet 2 forming in a main body frame 1. Corona discharge is generated between parallel flat electrodes 4 and discharging electrodes 5 due to the work of a d.c. high voltage electric power source 6 of the ionizing part and the dust is charged and the charged dust is sent to a dust collecting part 7. In the dust collecting part 7, an electric field is generated between a flat electrode 9 and a dust collecting electrode 11 owing to d.c. high voltage electric power source 14 of the dust collecting part and the charged dust is collected in the dust collecting electrode 11 by Coulomb's force. Dust-free clean air is blown out of a clean gas outlet 8 and discharged. Since both sides of the flat electrode 9 to which high d.c. voltage is applied in the dust collecting part are coated with an insulating film 10, leakage of electricity to the conductive spacer 12 and the dust collecting electrode 11 and spark discharge are not caused. Consequently, the size of the apparatus becomes compact and low pressure loss is achieved and high dust collecting efficiency is maintained.</p> |
