PURPOSE:To obtain sea tangle slice from which good flavor and fragrance of sea tangle are rapidly extracted to give sea tangle water which is tasty and easily drinkable, by making raw sea tangle into small pieces, immersing them in water to swell them at >= a specific ratio, freeze-drying to remove water. CONSTITUTION:Raw sea tangle is cut into small pieces with <=0.5mm. thickness, the small pieces of sea tangle are then immersed in water at <=70 deg.C or optionally in a seasoning solution of sugar, salt, etc., so that >=7 times as much water as the sea tangle by weight is absorved in the sea tangle and it is swelled. The sea tangle is immersed in warm water at 70 deg.C, freeze-dried into <=4wt% water content, to give dried sea tangle slice. |
