<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a line defect and to improve an opening rate by providing a ladder structure and a Cs on gate structure in combination. CONSTITUTION:This matrix substrate has picture element electrodes 4 which are divided to two divided electrodes 4a and 4b arranged in a matrix form, two source bus wiring 2a and 2b which are formed in parallel between the divided electrodes and transmit the same signal, gate bus wiring 1 intersecting with these wirings are superposed with a part of electrodes 4, a gate bus branch 11 branched therefrom, TFTs 3, 3 which are formed thereon and are connected to the divided electrodes 4a and 4b constituting the picture element electrodes adjacent to the electrodes 4, and a connecting wire 2c which electrically connect the bus wirings 2a and 2b. The connecting wire 2c intersects with the branch 11 in an insulated state with a gate insulating film 13 in-between. The wiring 1 functions as a scanning line, the wirings 2a and 2b function as signal lines and further, the branch 11 functions as a scanning branch and the TFT 3 as a switching element. An additive capacity 51 is formed in the superposed part of the electrodes 4a and 4b and the bus wiring 1.</p> |
