A METHOD FOR NOTIFYING A WAITING QUEUE BASED ON THE MESSAGE AND AN APPLICATION SERVER THEREOF

A method for notifying a waiting queue based on the message and an application server thereof are provided. The method includes: a calling terminal sends a call request to a called terminal; an application server forwards the call request to the called terminal sent by the calling terminal, and determines whether the called terminal is at the idle condition according to the response message returned by the called terminal; if the called terminal is at the busy condition, the application server puts the calling terminal into a waiting queue of the called terminal and sends the waiting notify message which contains the waiting queue value of the calling terminal to the calling terminal; if the called terminal is at the idle condition, the talking connection is established between the calling terminal and the called terminal. According to the invention, when the called terminal is busy, the number of the waiting users in the queue of the called terminal will be notified to the calling terminal exactly. Various modes of the notify are illustrated, and the notify modes of the waiting queue are more abundant, therefor, the problem in the prior voice calling field is solved that the calling user can not know the waiting condition and the time is wasted.
