PURPOSE:To prevent the discoloration of the surfaces of Ti (alloy) personal ornaments by heating when the surfaces are subjected to partial ion plating with an org. masking agent, by forming films of a metal such as Zr, V or Ni on the surfaces before the ion plating. CONSTITUTION:A film 3 of a metal such as Zr, V, Ni, Cr, Mn, Fe or Co or an alloy contg. such a metal is formed on each of the surfaces of Ti (alloy) personal ornaments 4 such as a Ti alloy case. An org. masking layer 2 is formed on part of the film 3 and a colored film 1 is formed on the film 3 and the masking layer 2 by PVD. For example, a black film 1 is formed by ion plating. The masking layer 2 and the part of the film 3 under the layer 2 are then removed.
