The printing process has a drum with an engraved pattern that has ink in the formed areas. The print paper (4) or material is passed between the print roller and a counter roller (1) in order that ink transfer occurs. Any electrostatic charge build up on the paper is eliminated by an electrode (6') that is set a distance (B) from the paper. The distance (A) to the point of separation of the paper from the roller can be used to set the position of the electrode and is given by the formula A = r-r.Cos 90 deg.-alpha, where alpha is the angle of the tangent line. ADVANTAGE - Neutralises electrostatic charge.
