<p>PURPOSE:To simply and efficiently recover a platinum group metal by converting the platinum group metal to sulfide or a black state without dissolving the carrier of metal foil carrier catalyst constituted by supporting the platinum group metal on a metal foil carrier. CONSTITUTION:A metal foil carrier catalyst constituted by supporting a platinum group metal on a metal foil carrier is immersed in a solution containing sodium hydroxide, sodium thiosulfate and hydrazine to dissolve an alumina layer provided as a catalytically active layer and the platinum group metal is recovered in a black state.</p> |
