PURPOSE:To provide a method where periphery is not soiled and the developing machine where this method can be definitely carried out. CONSTITUTION:When developing is finished by the first developing machine 13, carrier of developer 2 can be prevented from being scattered even when a developing roll 5 is rotated at a high speed because the flow of the developer 2 is controlled by a restriction member 7 first, and even if it is scattered, the scattered amount can be suppressed extensively. Furthermore, since a shutter 9 is closed with movement of a case 1 after control by the restriction member 7, the scattering of the carrier can be surely prevented.
