(I) C triple bond C-C triple bond C-R R = (1-5c) alkyl, R' = H or (1-5C) alkyl, S = a steroid residue, opt. subst. by groups which do not interfere in the reaction, e.g. protected C=O (e.g. as ketal) at 1,2,3,4,6, or 12; OH at 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 or 11; O alkyl at 3,6, or 7; (1-3C) alkyl or alkenyl at 1,2,3,4,6,7, or 16; double bonds at 1,2,3,4,5,5(10),6,7,8,8(14),9,9(11),11,and/or14, Me or Et at 18; and H or Me at 19. Oestrogens, gestagens and claudogens. M = Li, Na, K or MgHal. The reagent is prepd:- a) From the 1,4-dichloro-alk-2-yne and NaNH2 in NH3 (J.C.S., 1952, 2883). b) by alkyln of butadiyne and formn. of the Na salt. or c) by reaction of the alkadiyne and MNH2. |
