A three-dimensional cross-linking duroplastic material in dust or powder form, containing other components of which at least one is cross-linking or non cross-linking, is applied in layer thickness of 50-500 micrometers. The duroplastic at least is then cross-linked by heating to improve the lubricating and sliding characteristics. Both the machined and the non-machined surfaces are coated on the rotatable smooth or profiles parts which may be cast special steel or other metals or alloys. An Independent claim is included for smooth or profiled parts in pumps and which are coated in accordance with the proposed procedure.
