PURPOSE:To improve operability by preventing the generation of a user's misoperations or feeling of embarrassment at the time of operations by arranging light emitting elements at respective keys and clearly displaying the key usable for each function. CONSTITUTION:Common keys (start key 2, clear key 3 for reset, ten keys 4 for designating the number of sheets or the like, density related key 5 and copy mode clear key 9) are arranged with an LEDa showing the keys to be used for a copy mode and an LEDb showing the keys to be used for a facsimile mode, respectively. Keys (paper sheet related key 6, magnification related key 7 and program key 10 to input a program) to be used for the copy mode only are arranged with only the LEDa, respectively, and the LEDa is controlled so as to be turned on only in the copy mode. Keys (FAX switching key 8a and a key 11 for FAX input) to be used in the facsimile mode only are arranged with only the LEDb, respectively, and the LEDb is controlled so as to be turned on only when the facsimile mode is used. |
