The design of the air expansion chamber in a dishwashing machine, to allow air to escape when the washing chamber is filled with water, includes a cap seal (lid) for the expansion chamber, with an air escape tube. The design ensures that the pressure channel for the water supply control cannot be blocked by debris. Specif., on filling the washing chamber, water passes through a connecting channel in the expansion chamber. The air passes out of the escape tube through the lid. When the water level reaches the lower lip of the escape tube the air can no longer escape, and becomes partially compressed. As the water cannot reach the inlet tube mounting, the drilling to the pressure monitor cannot be blocked by food debris. |
