<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive free from deterioration of the recording quality and to provide a recording method of the optical disk drive by correcting a deviation of a setting of recording power in a recording speed without performing OPC, caused by that a relation of a recording power vs. error rate is changed at the time a zone is changed over due to every condition such as a temperature at the recording or a variation of the disk, when the recording of a zone CLV method is carried out by an optical disk recorder. <P>SOLUTION: When the OPC is performed by the optical disk drive, the relation of the change amount of the optimum recording power in regard to the change of recording speed is obtained by performing at two recording speeds, and by utilizing the aforementioned result and applying the correction on the recording power obtained with respect to a conventional coefficient uniquely decided at a design stage, the influence of temperature environment or variation of the disk can be evaded, and the deviation of the optimum recording power in the zone where the OPC is not performed can be corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
