PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease in the image density in the stage of continuous copying and to obtain the image having stable density in a titled developer consisting of a carrier and toner by treating the carrier surface with a compd. classified to CI.SOlvent 70. CONSTITUTION:The carrier such as iron powder, glass powder, aluminum powder of ferrite powder and the compd. classified to CI.Solvent 70 (e.g., ''Oil Blue #615''; ''Valifast Blue 2606'') are mixed and stirred by using a ball mill, etc. and thereafter the excess dye is extracted by a suction method, by which the surface of the carrier is treated. A binder resin (e.g.; plystyrene, polyester resin) and a coloring agent (e.g.; carbon black, phthalocyanine green) are separately mixed to prepare the toner. The surface-treated carrier and the toner and mixed, by which the intended developer for developing an electrostatic charge image is obtd. |
