摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the directivity and the intensity of stimulating light emitted from a line light source and to improve an SN ratio by reading radiograph information accumulated and recorded on a stimulable phosphor sheet by using a stimulating light source consisting of an organic EL. SOLUTION: The light source consisting of the organic EL is used as the line light source linearly radiating the stimulating light L at one part of the stimulable phosphor sheet 50 where the radiograph information is accumulated and recorded. Any light source irradiating the sheet 50 linearly (line shape) or in surface shape (area shape) is good as the stimulating light source consisting of the organic EL. Any material, any structure and any producing method may be used as the element material, the element structure and the producing method of the organic EL. Thus, the intensity of emitted light is high and sufficient luminance is obtained in comparison with the conventional radiograph information reader where a fluorescent lamp, a cold cathode fluorescent lamp or an LED array is used as the light source, so that higher stimulating energy is imparted to the sheet 50 and the image whose SN ratio is higher than in the conventional device is obtained.
