PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pan tilt camera device by which the reliability can be improved. SOLUTION: This pan tilt camera device is provided with a pan tilt camera controller 1 controlling the whole of the pan tilt camera device, a pulse motor 2 driven by a signal from the controller, the pan tilt camera driven by the motor 2, and a pulse pattern storing part 11 transmitting the signal of the pulse pattern to the controller so that the speed of the motor 2 is decreased or increased stepwise for every specified frequency when the motor 2 is started or stopped. This pan tilt camera device is also provided with the part 11 storing at lease two or more pulse patterns which are different in accordance with the rotational speed of the pan tilt camera and a selecting part 12 selecting the pulse pattern from the two or more pulse patterns stored in the part 11 based on a specified rotational speed of the pan tilt camera, which reduces a necessary acceleration torque to the minimum during a low speed driving.
