AIR CONDITIONING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To make an apparatus thin so as to be placed within a curtain wall, by placing an indoor-side unit with its back to the central part of an outdoor- side unit, and allowing air to flow through heat exchanger fans of said outdoor- and indoor-side units. CONSTITUTION:Arrangement is such that an indoor-side unit 12 and an outdoor- side unit 14 are provided with back to back each other and heat exchanger fans 42 and side plates 30 are so placed relative to the tube plates that air flows only in the vertical direction through the passage between the fans of heat exchangers 34 and 64 placed in both unit respectively. In the upper or the lower space over the outdoor-side heat exchanger 64, where an outdoor-side fans 92 and 93 are placed so that the side of said space serves as an outlet. Intake air is taken into the unit 14 through an intake air opening provided on the bottom or the back of the unit having the ourdoor-side fan therein. Air passing through the heat exchangers is discharged from the bottom 62 or the back of the unit having the ourdoor-side heat exchanger therein.
