PURPOSE: To obtain the radio frequency transceiver having efficient contention cancellation capability and suitable for a housing in a small sized shape. CONSTITUTION: The transceiver is made up of an oscillator section 200, a switching and mixing section 210, a base band amplifier/filter 220, an antenna 250, a demodulation section 230, a modulation section 260, a data buffer 280 connecting to a data interface bus 299, and a host interface 291. A digital control logic section 295 provides digital control to the transceiver 150 and the reception section and the transmission section use a same oscillator section 220 consisting of a reference oscillator 201 connecting to a synthesizer 202 driving a voltage controlled oscillator 204 via a feedback control loop 205 in common. The transceiver enters the pause mode in the idle state to save power and uses a signature detector to confirm a signature word imbeded in a data packet thereby identifying a valid message from noise. |
