FIELD: nondestructive testing; flaw detection of surface, underground and underwater pipe lines of unlimited length. SUBSTANCE: device includes hermetic container inside which electric power consumers are located. Rigidly secured on container are flexible collars and generator with mechanical drive from wheels pressed to inner surface of pipe line and rolling over this surface. Wheels are mounted on carriages. Carriage consists of reduction gear with two balance beams secured on it. Two pairs of wheels are mounted on each balance beam; gear wheels are secured on axles of adjacent wheels; gear wheels are connected with driven gear of reduction gear. output shaft of reduction gear is connected with shaft of summing-up reduction gear by means of intermediate shaft. Intermediate shaft is laid inside pipe which is rigidly secured on reduction gear of carriage at one end, at other end, it is rotatably secured on housing of summing-up reduction gear. One end of spring-loaded unit is rotatably secured on housing of summing-up reduction gear; other end of spring-loaded unit is secured on reduction gear of carriage.
