Consolidating carpet pile - by application of synthetic resin to carpet back prior to drying of dyed pile

Carpet pile is consolidated following dyeing but prior to drying by applying to the carpet back a dispersion of synthetic resins or latexes which is converted into a consolidating film during the subsequent drying stage. Process is continuous, intermediate storing is dispensed with an excessive impregnation of carpet pile is prevented by moisture in the pile.
