PURPOSE:To obtain a low-cost device which performs accurate remote control over a device for an air pressure signal by providing a signal converter which converts a light signal to the air pressure signal corresponding to its light signal variation. CONSTITUTION:The light signal 4 supplied through an optical fiber 3 is made incident on a photoelectric converting element 2 and converted into an electric signal which flows as shown by an arrow 66. Then when the signal 5 increases, a signal coil 6 generates heat and the coefficient of elasticity of the coil 6 decreases. Then, pressure to a flapper 13 drops and the back pressure 22 of a nozzle 18 decreases. The decrease in the back pressure 22 lowers the pressure of an output air pressure signal 27. The signal 27 is supplied to a feedback bellows 30, which shrinks by the decrease of the signal 27. Consequently, the flapper 13 is pressed against the nozzle 18 to provide negative feedback, thereby placing the signals 4 and 27 in proportional relation. Thus, various kinds of control are performed accurately and the cost is reducible.
