摘要

The expandable plastics body material is expanded against an envelope of a different thermoplastic material whose shape is controlled by an external mould. The expandable material is pref. a polyurethane whose exothermic expansion softens the sheet material, pref. of ABS copolymer or plasticised PVC, to take up the shape of the mould. Used for producing expanded plastic articles with a resistant skin.
