<p>The device has a series circuit of a load (L1) and an associated switch (Q1) connected between the plus and minus poles (+,-) of the voltage supply (Bat). A free-wheeling diode (D1) is connected in parallel with the load and the device has a protection circuit (S) for supply voltage reversal.
