The rubber-blanket plate according to the invention comprises a carrier material 2 on which functional layers 3 are arranged. These comprise a covering layer 4, a woven-fabric layer 5 and a compressible layer 6. At the two ends of the rubber-blanket plate, only the covering layer 13 extends to the edge of the carrier 2, whereas the functional layers end before that, that is to say they are shorter. As a result, effective protection of the edges of the functional layers 3 is attained, while it is possible to use a relatively narrow channel. Alternatively all the layers can extend to at least one edge. |
