The bed-cover (10) consists of two layers of fabric (12, 14), each of a natural fibre, which are joined together at the edge via a border strip and preferably over their surface via backstitch seams. There is no filling arranged between the layers of fabric (12 and 14). The layer of fabric (12) consists, for example, of a towelling material and the layer of fabric (14) consists of a cotton piqué. However, it is also possible for both layers of fabric to be produced from the same material. A bed-cover of this type is resistant to boiling, is breathable and compatible with the skin and is ideally suited as a cover for patients, guests or children. It can be washed as often as desired and can, for example, be changed daily. Furthermore, it is excellently suitable as a cover for taking on holiday. <IMAGE>
