PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording body, which is excellent in print density, print quality, print water resistance, especially surface smoothness and lustrous properties and out of which a clear image as good as daguerreotype can be outputted. SOLUTION: This ink jet recording body has a support and a single layered constitution or a laminated constitution with two or more layers including a pigment and a binder formed on the support. At least one layer of the recording layer includes at least one kind of fine pigment particles, which is selected from the group consisting of silica, alumina silicate and a α-, θ-, δ- and γ-alumina and has an average particle diameter of 1 μm or less. |
