<p>A tightening ring for two parts of a nuclear reactor which can be translated axially or make small pivoting movements on each other, e.g. the fuel elements within their supporting structure or the shaft of the bar for the regulator. One transverse surface of the tightening ring has an annular groove into which is placed a closed strain-free ring. The ring is curved at the tightening surface with a radius of curvature equal to its own radius, which permits a rocking motion between the tightened elements while maintaining the tightness.</p> |
