PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of the curl or undulation of ink jet recording paper after printing by setting the difference between the shrinkage factors of the printing surface layer and non-printing surface layer of recording paper in the CD direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:Paper formed using wood pulp as a main raw material is generally used as the base material of ink jet recording paper. The coating agent applied to at least the single surface of this base material contains white pigment and an aq. resin. The coating agent is applied to the single surface of the base material so that the dry coating amt. thereof becomes 4-10g/m<2>, pref., about 5-8g/m<2>. The difference between the shrinkage factors between the printing surface layer and non-printing surface layer of the recording layer in the CD direction (right-angled to a fiber arranging direction) is adjusted to a range of + or -0.1%. |
