PURPOSE: A super-cooling system of direct cooling type refrigerator is provided to control refrigerant supplied to evaporators of a refrigerating compartment and a freezing chamber to quickly freeze the freezing chamber while not to make temperature of the refrigerating compartment excessively low. CONSTITUTION: A super-cooling system includes a bypass pipe(24); and a passage diverter switch(22). The bypass pipe connects a point between a freezing chamber evaporator(16) and a refrigerating compartment evaporator(15) with a compressor(18) so that refrigerant, having passed the freezing chamber evaporator, bypasses the refrigerating compartment evaporator to be directly taken into the compressor. The passage diverter switch selectively connects an outlet(16a), through which refrigerant is discharged from the freezing chamber evaporator, with an inlet(15a), through which refrigerant flows into the refrigerating compartment evaporator, or another inlet(24a) through which the refrigerant flows into the bypass pipe. The passage diverter switch connects the freezing chamber evaporator with the refrigerating compartment evaporator for normal operation and connects the freezing chamber evaporator with the bypass pipe for super-cooling operation.
