PURPOSE:To provide the musical sound signal generation device which provides timbre variation closer to the sound of a natural musical instrument as to a musical sound signal generation device which generates musical sound signals with various timbres. CONSTITUTION:This musical sound generation device is equipped with a waveform data memory which stores waveform data, a read means 31 which reads waveform data out of the waveform data memory 30, a 1st filter means 32 which alters a musical sound component included in the waveform data read out by the read means 31 according to 1st filter characteristics, a 2nd filter means 33 which alters the musical sound component included in the waveform data read by the read means 31 according to 2nd filter characteristics different in at least amplitude frequency characteristic from the 1st filter characteristics, and mixing means 35-38 which properly mix the outputs of the 1st filter means 32 and 2nd filter means 33 to generate a musical sound signal. |
