Cards are fed singly from the bottom of a stack by means of rollers 92, which are situated immediately after switch 140, on lowering of support bars 82 situated between rollers 92, to a pair of gates 95, pairs of rollers 94 and 102, the latter pair rotating at a lower speed to effect partial overlap of cards for the illumination step, line-by-line illumination station 22, and return tray 107 having spring- loaded backing plate (109), Fig. 3 (not shown) which contacts switch 145 when tray 107 is full. The web, which has been threaded by an advancing mechanism (73), Fig. 6 (not shown), is drawn by means of a sprocket wheel 55 from a supply tray 54 past a drag member 58, switch 142, and guide member 59 having a cam 61, into contact with an image-bearing photo-conductive drum 30, through heater 66, and to a receiver tray 16. |
